d) Error – so / correction – because (So shows the effect; because shows the reason.)

f) Error – him / correction – himself (Nero erected his own statue. That means he erected a statue of himself.)

g) Error – all / correction – whole (It can be all the population or the whole population; the article goes before whole; the article ‘the’ goes after all.)

h) Error – spent / correction – spend (Would spend; the first form of the verb is used after modals.)
