Conditional Clauses Exercise For Class 8

Fill in the blanks with an appropriate conditional verb form.

Note that conditional clauses are also called if clauses. Conditional clauses express a condition. There are mainly three types of them.

In the first conditional, we use a simple present tense in the if-clause and will/can/may + first form of the verb in the main clause.

In the second conditional, we use a simple past tense in the if-clause and would/could/might + first form of the verb in the main clause.

In the third conditional, we use a past perfect tense in the if-clause and would/could/might + have + past participle in the main clause.
