Simple Sentence, Complex Sentence Or Compound Sentence Worksheet For Class 7

State whether the given sentence is simple, complex or compound.

A simple sentence has just one clause and one finite verb.

A complex sentence has one main clause and one or more subordinate clauses. Subordinate clauses are usually introduced by a subordinating conjunction (when, before, after, while, though, although, if, because, since, as, till, as if, as though etc.) or a relative pronoun (who, which, what, where, whose, whom etc.)

A compound sentence has two or more coordinate clauses of equal rank. Coordinate clauses are usually connected by a coordinating conjunction. Examples are: and, or, but, so, for, yet, still, either/or, neither/nor, both/and etc.
