Identify The Tense | Simple Past Or Simple Present Tense Worksheet For Class 3

Read the following sentences and say whether they are in the simple present or simple past tense.

Notes

We make the simple past tense using the second form of the verb (v2). In the simple present tense, we use the first form (v1). Note that in the simple present tense, the verb takes the marker –s when the subject is a singular noun or pronoun.

  • The children revise their lessons every day.
  • The girl revises her lessons every day. (The verb revise becomes revises here because the subject is the singular noun girl.)
