State whether the given sentence is simple, complex or compound.
A simple sentence has one independent cause and one finite verb.
A complex sentence has one independent clause and one or more subordinate clauses. Subordinate clauses are usually introduced by the subordinating conjunctions as, when, while, whereas, though, although, if, whether, even if, even though, as if, as though, until, before, after, because, since, unless, who, what, which, that, whose, where etc.
A compound sentence has two or more coordinate clauses connected by a coordinating conjunction. Examples are: and, but, or, nor, for, so, either..or, neither..nor, not only / but also etc.
