Present and Past Participle Exercise for ESL Students

Fill in the blanks with an ing form or a past participle. Ing forms can be gerunds or present participles. When they are used like nouns, they are gerunds. When they are used like verbs or adjectives, they are present participles. Past participles are used after has, have and had. They are also used to make passive verb forms. Just like ing forms, past participles can be used like adjectives.
