Conditional Sentences Exercise

This grammar exercise tests your ability to use conditional sentences correctly.

Grammar notes

In type 1 conditional, use a simple present tense in the if-clause and will/may/can + bare infinitive in the main clause.

In type 2 conditional, use a simple past tense in the if-clause and would/might/could + bare infinitive (infinitive without to) in the main clause.

In type 3 conditional, use a past perfect in the if-clause and would/could/might + have + past participle in the main clause.
