Pronouns Worksheet For Class 7

Personal pronouns are words like he, she, they, it, you and I. Personal pronouns have subject, object and possessive forms.

Subject pronouns: he, she, I, you, we, they, it

Object pronouns: him, her, me, you, us, them, it

Possessive pronouns: his, hers, mine, yours, ours, theirs, its

Possessive adjectives are also derived from personal pronouns. Examples are: his, her, my, your, our, their, its. Possessive adjectives go before nouns. They cannot stand alone.

  • This is my pen.
  • That is your cat.

We can also express the same ideas using possessive pronouns.

  • This pen is mine.
  • That cat is yours.

Notes

Object pronouns are preferred after as and than.

  • She works harder than him. (More natural than She works harder than he.)
  • I work as hard as her.

However, subject pronouns are used before a verb.

  • She works harder than he does. (NOT She works harder than him does,)
  • I work as hard as she does.
