Question Tags Worksheet for Class 10 KSEEB SSLC English

Question tags are the short questions that go at the end of a statement. The question tag consists of an auxiliary verb and a pronoun. Study the examples given below.

  • She is your friend, isn’t she?

Note that if the statement is affirmative, we use a negative tag question.

  • You are coming, aren’t you?

If the statement is negative, we use an affirmative tag question.

  • He wasn’t there, was he? (NOT ….wasn’t he?)

If the statement is in the simple present tense, we make tag questions with do or does.

  • You know him, don’t you? (Use do with the pronouns I, we, you and they)
  • He works hard, doesn’t he? (Use does with the pronouns he, she and it)

If the statement is in the simple past tense, we make tag questions with did.

  • You met him, didn’t you?
  • She passed the test, didn’t she?
