The simple present tense is used to talk about facts, general truths, likes, dislikes and habits.

In the simple present tense, the verb takes the marker –s when the subject is a singular noun or pronoun.

The verb does not take the marker –s when the subject is a plural noun, plural pronoun or the first person singular noun I.
